Hybrid Cars and Car accessories
4 February 2007The rise and fall in the sale of automobiles is highly dependent on the rise and fall of the gas prices.
The increase in the sale of gas-electric hybrid vehicles was due to the ever rising prices of gas world over and the tax credit benefit extended by the US government to the purchasers of hybrid vehicles.
These hybrid cars are fitted with fuel efficient car parts and car accessories.
With the fall in the gas prices and the shift in the governments policy on extending tax credit, sales of these hybrid vehicles nosedived. A tax credit available to the purchasers of hybrid vehicles is slowly diminishing and so is the sale of these vehicles.
With the reduction in the tax credit benefits Toyota was the hardest hit company. Its tax credit went down by 50% thus affecting the sales of the highest selling Toyota.
Along with Toyota Prius, Honda Civic Hybrid is the only other Hybrid car in the USA which is enjoying the good sales. Even the 24% drop in the gasoline prices and the change in the taxation policy for the 4th quarter did not heavily affect the sale of this car.
